The Order of the Pen

~Who We Are~

We are a group of writers dedicated to writing clean, godly, wholesome literature. Most of us grew up bemoaning the lack of appropriate books for us to read, so we set about to write our own. While many of us explore tough situations and topics with our writing, our stories always point to the Lord, giving hope and purpose to our readers.

We critique, encourage, share tips, and push each other to better their craft. Our varied interests outside of writing make for a wonderful pool of information when it's research time.

~Our History~

Back in 2013, Jules emailed me with the idea of creating a writing group dedicated to writing clean, godly literature. Naturally, I was thrilled at the idea. We set about contacting friends and family who wrote or had an interest in writing. On January 1, 2014, we had our first "meeting".

Our meetings are through email and they usually consist of a verse, a quote, updates of various sorts, and a highlighted writing topic. We sometimes have Skype meetings if we have something that needs to be discussed face to face.

~What do we write~

We write just about anything from fantasy to historical fiction and everything in between. We also write poetry, songs, and stories of various lengths. Whatever we can write to honor the Lord with our talents.

~Some of the Ways You Can Connect With Us~

If you have Facebook, you can like our Facebook page. We usually share brief posts of writerly wisdom. A quote here and there. Honor our members if they do something notable in the writing world. Once a month, we answer questions in the form of a panel.

And then there are the awesome blogs of some of our members!

The lovely Jules, who I co-founded the group with.
The artistic Evangeline  (also Evangeline's tumblr)
The hilarious, wonderful Jem, one of our newest members!
And the talented Rose.

Thank you all for your support of our vision. Your encouragement, in whatever form, means more than you will ever know. We hope that someday our books will be available for you and future generations to enjoy. For now, all of your prayers are coveted.

God bless,
Sarah
