Life Thoughts/Updates
As I said in my earlier post, I have some things going on in my life and I needed a place to sort them out so I thought I might write a quick post. My grandma passed away yesterday after a sudden stroke Saturday night. Needless to say, it came as a bit of a shock to my family, but I think we're taking it in stride. But anyway, on to what I meant to say in this post.
I will likely be almost entirely inactive in the blogosphere for the foreseeable future (wow, Sarah, that was sooooo definitive). I have my blogoversary post next week, of course, but I probably won't comment on anyone's posts or even really read them. I'm letting you know because I love each and every one of you and I promise I'm not ignoring you. I just need time to heal. Everything feels... empty, I guess. Lonely. Tired. Hopeful, but sad. Unmotivated.
I could barely write my flash fiction this morning (as evidence by the haphazardness of it). I still have to send out my two stories for their alpha read and do something for my blogoversary. I'm going to try and push through with those things because I have deadlines, but that means that I'm going to have to be patient with myself in other areas.
I'm going to read more books right now, as that's one of the few things that seems to help. I did manage to get several good workouts in, which I know sounds weird, but they helped me refocus and re-energize my body and mind.
But do be in prayer for my family, especially my dad and his family as they grieve. It'll be harder as the 4th of July hits, as we usually visit my grandparents around that time. So just pray that we remain hopeful, as I know she's in her heart's home now.
I know this post is a jumbled mess, but I guess that just matches me right now. So yeah, I'm not sure how long I'll be away, but I just wanted you all to know that I love you dearly and I would never not read your blogs unless something was going on.
Thank you all for everything! You're an amazing community and I'm thankful to be a part of it.

Oh, Sarah, we love you. <3 I'm so very sorry for this, and I'll be praying for you. Take all the time you need--we'll still be here when you come back. Love you so much, and I pray you find healing and balm in His arms.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, Sarah! Take as long as you need.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for you!
You know all my contact information....you know where I live...and you know you are invited to email, text, call, spam, visit whenever you need to. <3
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon, praying for you, dear friend! <3
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. I know those two words aren't really ever enough to fix something like this, but know you and your family are in my prayers. You will get through this. Don't feel bad that you have to take a break because the internet will always be here. We will always be here. This time where you are needed elsewhere won't always be there and you need to take that breather. <3 <3
ReplyDeletePraying hard for you.
I'm so sorry, Sarah. Praying for you and your family. <3
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah!! *sends lots of hugs* prayers for her, you and your family!
